Ribbon Voyage

Editorial policy

Ribbon Voyage aims for accurate, independent and clearly framed writing about ribbon, its making and its uses. We separate established information from interpretation, make uncertainty visible and correct meaningful errors when they are brought to our attention.

Accuracy and care

We check names, terminology and factual details against appropriate references before publication. Where a subject varies by place, period or maker, we say so instead of implying one account fits all. We do not present assumptions as facts or claim research, testing or first-hand observation that has not taken place.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial choices remain distinct from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can tell what kind of material they are reading. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and editorial articles are not changed to disguise a commercial relationship.

Corrections and illustrations

Readers can send a correction through the Contact page. We review the point, amend an article when warranted and make the corrected wording clear in context. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where they are used, readers are told, and an illustration is not treated as evidence for a factual claim.

Our point of view

Small details can travel far

Ribbon is both material and message: a woven edge, a practical tie, a finishing touch or a sign with a history. We follow those threads without mistaking one custom for a universal rule.
